The Legal Stuff

A non-refundable deposit is required when ordering any custom lap steel. The balance plus shipping and any accessories must be paid on completion before shipping. If the buyer can not pay the balance due, the lap steel will be sold and any excess amount returned to the buyer. Be aware that the buyer may not get a full refund of their deposit in these circumstances. A new buyer may not be willing to pay full price for an instrument designed for someone else. In this case, the difference will be deducted from your deposit.

Custom instruments may not be returned.

If there is an error in quoting, a typo, or an error on this website, Melbert guitars is limited to refunding your deposit. Example: If Melbert guitars makes a typo and quotes $50 for a lap steel instead of $500, Melbert Guitars will not build a $500 lap steel for $50. Your $50 will be refunded.

Prices from suppliers are changing often. Melbert Guitars reserves the right to change prices without notice or issue a quote that is different than prices shown on this web site. Quotes are good for 30 days.

Lumber in stock is used on a first come, first serve basis. If someone doesn't order soon after receiving photos of current stock lumber, they should inquire again about availability.
